Jesus Loves.

Jesus loves… I have been so challenged by this simple but challenging – obvious yet profound statement. We all know that God loves us. If you don’t let this be a fresh revelation to you today. GOD LOVES YOU

“We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters… Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” 1 John 3:16-19

The challenge, always, is to accept people as they are – broken, different, sinful – and not allow judgment to creep in. We judge people based on our own perceptions shaped by our lives not by what really is. By the way, before you judge, move the log, plank or big piece of wood from your own eye before you even start looking at the small piece of sawdust in someone else’s eye. (Matt 7:4)

We encounter people from all walks of life, different racial and ethnic backgrounds, struggles with addiction, sexual identity, financial status and mental health. Our first response MUST be love.

I would encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with the love of God so that we can in turn respond with the love of God!

“For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:5
