Cost: $275 before July 4th & $300 after July 4th

Schedule

Monday: drop off at 9am to register
Friday: pickup at 9:30am

10:00         session (middle & high school)

Speaker: Ryan Cook

Since 2004 Ryan Cook has been the Director of “Interns”, a leadership development program for next generation leaders in Red Deer Alberta. For many years, he also directed a youth ministry called “Compassionate” that worked with hundres of youth and young adults on a weekly basis.
In 2008, Ryan released his first book, ‘Reform Your World’, which is available all over the world. Ryan is sought after speaker at conferences, events and churches and has preached in many countries of the world. His passion for the lost, determination to change the world, and love for the local church is contagious. In June 2010, Ryan will be moving to Vancouver B.C. to begin a Master Degree at Regent College. He currently lives in Albera, Canada with his wife Chantelle and their three kids- Juday, Anna and Greyson.

Young Adults Retreat (May 21-24)

2010…. Its gonnna be good

Well, their is a lot of excitment among the youth leaders for what 2010 is going to bring. Their are alot of great activities and services planned, such as our All Youth Summer Camp, a possible missions trip and many more, but the two most exciting are these: 31 days of all church prayer (Jan 1-31, 6:30am, 12pm & 6:30), and the adoption of our new campus, Southgate Maple Ridge.

We believe that the 31 days of prayer is going to be one of those seasons in our youth ministry and church that will have a long lasting effect. Our prayer is that our young people would develop a love and passion for prayer, one that would be passed from one generation to another.

The adoption of SG Maple Ridge is very exciting for all of SOUTHGATE. We as a youth ministry are exciting about the addition of some very great leaders and some incredible, Jesus loving youth out in Maple Ridge.

Please pray for Southgate Youth and believe with us for more salvation.

YA Ice Skating Event

If your not getting emails about the YA Events, email me and let me know. I will put you on the list.

 This Sunday night, the 13th of December, all Southgate young adults (and non Southgate YA’s) are invited to get together to get into the winter Sprit and go ice-skating under retro colored dico-lights and music at 8 rinks arena. Skating starts at 7:30pm and ends around 10pm. After everyone is invited to hang at the Kotyakov residance to relax, talk and hangout.  Skating is $5 and $3.50 for skate rentals.

Youth Film Festival Movies

Youth Film Festival was a fundraising SUCCESS

Thank-you to everyone that came out and supported our 3rd annual Film Festival. This year we used the annual event to raise money for our 2010 Summer Camp and we were able to raise just over $1200 WOW. We need to thank two people because with out them we could not have raised that much money…. Timmy G and Mike Mercer. These two guys both volunteered  to shave their heads if we raised $250 for each of their heads and we did  (Make sure you tell them both how much you like their hair cuts)

Also, We want to thank the incredible youth leaders and interns that we have at Southgate. The amount of hours they spent planning, setting-up, videoing and editing movies for this event amaze us. We are blessed by our leaders. Thank-you to all of you.

And lastly, thank-you to all the youth that helped with all the incredible videos. The quality of videos this year was superb. We can hardly wait for next year.
